Mainstream media has been softening the notion of war for months now, perhaps even this headline will not shock unless we spell it out: War is no joke, people will die!
With SACP already declaring war on America and Cosatu seemingly nonchalant at activating the South African workforce to civil war, yet our minority groups go about their daily lives without a care. Do you really want to wait till it is too late before urging your neighbours to give their mandate?
In a BusinessDay article, with the headline "POLITICAL WEEK AHEAD: Cosatu and SACP invited to emergency ANC meeting", reporter Genevieve Quintal writes:
The ANC’s national working committee (NWC) is expected to meet on Monday where it is likely to discuss the proposed cut to the public sector pay bill, as announced in finance minister Tito Mboweni’s budget.
Alliance partners Cosatu and the SA Communist Party have been invited to attend the meeting.
Cosatu general secretary Bheki Ntshalintshali confirmed to Business Day that the trade union federation was invited to attend, but said as far as it knew the pay issue would not be discussed.
Mboweni announced last week that the government wanted to slash total public pay by R160.2bn over the next three years.
Cosatu has already rejected the proposal, saying it was a “declaration of war”.
One only has to look at communist history to see a clear picture of where this is heading. The ULA currently has the ear of international friends of the minorities but they are bound by international law not to interfere with other states. Only if the people can show that they want no part of this war and declare that they want to secede can other countries step in and assist.
Time is running out, get those mandates to www.ulacongress.com while we still have the opportunity to prevent all out war in our streets and neighborhoods. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain, don't do it for yourself, do it for our people.
Wake up SA! Give your mandate to secede before its too late!
